Mental Health Support
Please see our sources of support document, which we have prepared for participants of our studies who indicate they may are experiencing some symptoms of depression or anxiety. If you would like some more support with this, below we have listed some different options to get help. What may help one person might not work for someone else, so we’re not recommending any particular option. It’s for you to choose what may be best for you – we hope they offer something helpful for you.

Please also note that a lot of the in-person support is local to Oxford (& Oxfordshire), as this is where our research is based. There may be similar resources in other counties.
Oxford Safe Haven (Mind):
Non-clinical support for Oxfordshire adults in crisis. “Like A&E for mental health”. You must call first to book an appointment for the same day.

Samaritans:
They offer a safe place to talk about anything, including suicidal feelings. You can visit face to face between 3-6pm on Saturdays. Also 24/7 phoneline.
