Participating with PERL

If you’re interested in taking part in one of our active research studies, please use the contact details for the specific study to email the relevant researchers directly.

Participating in a study can help advance medical research and potentially benefit millions of people who suffer from mood disorders. We have a number of active studies looking for volunteers. Our studies are all based at the Warneford Hospital (OX3 7JX) or online, and all reimburse for time and travel. Most studies involve looking at the effects of medication on cognitive tasks investigating emotional processing, learning and cognition. We aim to improve our understanding of mental health conditions and mental health treatments.

We are currently recruiting individuals aged 18-65 who are healthy, or have experienced persistent low moods in the past or present.

All of our studies reimburse for time and travel expenses. Studies reimburse between £20 (for a short one-off visit) and up to £255 (for a study including multiple visits).

Please refer to our FAQs page for more details about participation.
